At the heart of our shop sits a Weinig moulder, widely regarded as the gold standard for milling custom profiles. Where most shops select from a handful of stock moulding shapes, we cut our own — crown, base, light rails, door details, and trim shaped to match a specific design or architectural context.
This capability is what separates genuinely bespoke millwork from the merely custom. If a room calls for a historic profile that no longer exists in any catalog, we can recreate it from a photograph, a fragment, or a drawing. The profile becomes part of the design conversation rather than a limitation on it.
Milling in-house also protects the integrity of a project. Because the same shop that designs the trim also cuts it, there is no translation loss between intent and execution. The reveal a designer specified is the reveal that gets installed.
For period homes and architecturally sensitive interiors, this matters enormously. Matching an existing cornice or continuing an original baseboard profile through a renovation requires the ability to make, not order. That ability is built into our shop by design.
